New Hair Cut (it's always changing)! The best so far.
Last week I managed to squeeze in time (and remember! This plan had been in the works for over a month) to give George a haircut! Again, I really gave it no thought on how I would actually do his haircut, and in the middle I was questioning my "impulse cutting," but by the end, teary-eyed with his curls and waves gone, I was pleased with the turn out. In the pick above-right it shows waves in his hair, but that's after a brush out with a little detangler. After a bath he has beautiful tight curls... it was really sad to see them go. If you hardly brush his hair to begin with though, since it's so daunting to see Albert Einstein's nest of hair after each nap or good nights rest though, you hardly ever see curls to begin with! So, even if it's cut and gone, we were hardly enjoying the curls to begin with, and now, brushing his hair is effortless. No more chasing (more like running) around the house with brush and detangler in hand, chasing my screaming boy! Ahh, the ease. Being a mom of a toddler and a newborn, it's good to make life as simple as possible, and the loss of curls (that was hardly ever seen) was well worth it. Plus, now people have stopped making comments about his unruly hair! Boy, that had been embarrassing. May I present Prince Charming!
