Upcomming trip

We're getting ready for our trip, very excited, but keeping up the daily routine too. Our daily morning routine consists of a family prayer with reading from the scriptures as a family (and presently our nightly routine is watching Star Wars ;)). I've been feeling great peace and connection with my family as we read. We both didn't have a good family habit going until this month, and our children waking us up between 5-7am every morning keeps us going!

For FHE tonight, we started getting prepped for the trip by getting our air mattresses out to see if they would still inflate for the camping part of our trip, and it's a go! We've made our packing list (that's a BIG deal!), and now all that's left to do is to wait till the last minute to do laundry and pack! George still doesn't understand when we'll be leaving, but he will soon enough. The biggest thing on our list will be going to see Nana (so naturally, that's on George's forefront of thought) and taking her to her doctors appointment, and then bringing her up for a visit till we go and to house and baby sit the goats and chickens. We're super excited that Aunt Cinda can come to house sit too and spend some time with mom! We know they'll both have fun too, especially with our goats! Today we took our goats for a walk and they were doing the cutest and funnest tricks off the stone walls! Sam and Nephi did sideways jumps with little kicks and Kimmie did a twirl jumping kit off the wall! It's so fun to see them run after you too when they lag behind on a walk. When they try to catch up, they do rainbow shape leaps, jumping over the tall grass and weeds. We had an awesome day with the goats! The chickens laid 3 eggs yesterday and too, so mom and Aunt Cinda will have plenty of eggs for omelettes and baking, if they desire to do so! Now, all I have to do is clean the house. That, my friends, is the biggest trial of all. If I can just keep it the same amount of messy each day, it's a miracle! Well, wish us luck as we prepare!
