The First Cutler Family Reunion (with new generation taking over planning)

Well, the older generation got tired of it and now Scott and his sisters are going to take it up! No more 50+ crowds of strangers but just Scott, his siblings, all our of children, and their parents (grandma and grandpa) and their siblings come on over (if we're in Utah). It was rather fun, and next year it'll be my and Scott's turn to host it... though I don't know if it'll be nearly as good as Jenni's planning was.

One of our most exciting days was a big day trip to Salt Lake City. We got on the front runner for just $14 for Scott, George and I (Emilie free) and the passes were good for a full day and all forms of public transportation! The funnest part of the whole trip was the train ride in my opinion, and it was worth every penny... though no one checked to make sure we paid...

So, all who attended were; Val and Sloan, Scott and myself with the kids (George and Emilie), Jenni and Derek with Eden and Jaron (sorry if that's not how you spell his name!), and Don and Vicki (aka Grandma and Grandpa). With the 12 of us, we did rather well staying together when we needed to.

Switching to the street trolley
After an eventful trip on the Front Runner, we made it to the trolley cars just in time (I believe they call it something else here in Salt Lake). After a short drive, we made it to the Church History Museum! All the children got squashed pennies for 50 cents each, and we all eventually made it up to the children's area of the museum; which was full of inspirational play and filled with gospel centered messages! The church history museum is way better than before, and even have a new immersive movie theater with a short amazing movie!

After a big day with going to the Church History Museum, Temple Square (sorry, no pics, kids were hungry and NOT happy), and a mall splash pad with Lunch, it was time to think about going back home! Kid's can only stay up so much past nap time, right? Well, we made it to the trolley stop in one piece. The kids had a blast playing with a non-working telephone booth (so sad their era is gone, they were so fun! No more 1-800-HI-WALLY...). Grandpa also got a few teases in and smiles before the trolley came... completely crowded I might add, but we managed to squish in!

Once at the Front Runner stop and it came, it was a shock with how quickly the day flew by! On the ride back, the kids had fun joking, playing and watching things pass by. Sloan also taught grandma one of her school hand/song games. Sorry, don't know what it's called! It was a pleasant ride back, though I did wish the ride was much longer! Way too short!

Later during the trip, we also managed to go to "Cravings," a cupcake store whose owner won a Cupcake Wars competition/episode from the Cupcake Wars television show on the food network. It was very cute inside and seeing all the different cupcakes was exciting! The cup cakes let me down with the certain flavors I got, but they still looked SO beautiful and the novelty of merely getting them was exciting! Really though, how did they win that show?!

Ah, one of our last days in Utah. It was comprised of fishing and swimming among other things! Scott actually managed to catch a fish in the lake, as tiny as the fish was. What's also impressive is that on the camping/fishing trip he took with his dad a few days before the reunion, he and his dad caught around 80 fish each during just their couple day trip! Apparently we have fishers in the family.

I'm sorry for the brief writing, but it's better to have a little than none at all! What a splendid time we had as a family, and I hope it'll be just as fun next time too. :) Thank you Jenni for all the planning and work you did!
