Sea World!!!
With
Aunt Martha and Uncle Dennis and George's cousin Alex in town for their
first time in San Diego, we all went to Sea World! All of us had a
blast! George and Alex had a lot of fun together too, and it really made
me happy to see how well George got along with Alex. No judgements or
concerns, just love and friendship. Both of them loved the kid's rides
and had a fun time seeing all the animals together. Emilie was asleep
for most of the time and just lounged out in the stroller like a Queen,
enjoying the sea air and calm breeze. Once she was up though, she was
up, and looked at all that was around her from her spot in the sling.
Emilie was just in time for pictures with Elmo and Abby too, as she
woke. George wanted to see Elmo soooooo bad and was so happy to
get a hug from Elmo!!! It was sad having such a brief encounter, but
at least we got a hug! We never got the picture though, I was the only
one grinning away, like an over excited mom ;)
I think all of our favorites was the Sesame St park area. That's where all the kids rides were, as well as the most massive playground in existence. I really had a hay day keeping George from leaving Emilie and me when he saw the giant rope that was next to us that went up two/three stories, up to the tree top playground above! Everyone else went to have some desert, and George, Emilie and I had lingered at the playground. A little harder than I thought, but it was still fun.
The day seemed to go by way to fast, and it was really sad when it ended. One day really isn't enough to see everything. We're excited to go back sometime with our pass, free parking and occasional free tickets for friends and family (one reason we got the pass!). We had so much fun. Thank you Martha, Dennis and Alex for visiting, we already miss you guys!
