A Day at Balboa Park

Looking at Koi Fish!
Emilie is already an art critic and has good taste
Last week, the kids and Nana and I decided to spend the day at Balboa Park. We visited the Koi Fish while we pointed and chatted about their pretty colors, went by beautiful fountains of all kinds, wandered past blooming flower gardens, and even visited the court yard Scott and I had my ring ceremony at, after we were sealed in the temple for time and all eternity!

Balboa Park is one of the most beautiful places of San Diego, and is key to what San Diego is all about; art, culture, and history! The only place rival to it is the Historic Old Town, which is so rich of culture and events!

San Diego has really come a far way too with infrastructure and beautifying San Diego city as a whole, with the finished renovation of the waterfront, amazing parks with water play and a view of the bay on Midway Dr. and keeping up Harbor and Shelter Island. Coronado is so expensive, it seems like it's always been nice, and I love the Hotel Del Coronado and the beach. It's a real blessing to be able to visit regularly since our proximity isn't too far away! Next week, who knows what we'll do! Whatever it is, the kids will have a blast regardless and get those wiggles out from a long car drive!

Beautiful Balboa Park
