Nana Return's to the Sea

Tuesday, we drove down the Hill and helped Nana back onto her boat, just in time for her to miss another cold spell up in the mountainous countryside! It was so nice visiting the Sea again, and George and Emilie enjoyed the sights and smells of the salty air and many tourists of San Diego. Walking Nana's dog was George's favorite part of the day, with seeing sailboats and getting to stretch his legs from the much car riding and grocery shopping. Isabella really enjoyed her walk too!
Nana is adjusting well to life back on the boat, and is very happy to be in her natural habitat again. ;) She's been very sore though since moving back, but hopefully will continue to take it easy. She has a hard time not working on the boat, and even though she doesn't at the moment, there's lots of bending that needs to be done with low to the floor cabinets and such. Boats really are luxury camping I feel, even it's a way of life for many!
George has an awesome obsession with following joggers we've found on previous trips down to SD, but it has again held true, last Tuesday! I don't know if it was a toddler obsession to copy adults or that George just loves running, but the moment a jogger passed, but while walking George turned on his heels and started to run off after a jogger! He would go a little too far for comfort too. Scott use to love running himself as a teen, till his church mission to Spanish Speaking LA and college (where there just wasn't the time). Maybe it's in George's genes! Unfortunately, not everyone was so nice, and I was horrified when he kept cutely blocking a walker who was a bit different in the head and socially from others. You know that awkward moment when you both correct which way your walking as the person in front of you does the same? Well, George did that about four times with this certain walker, and the walker wasn't too happy!  Luckily, most of the joggers really didn't mind his following them, or didn't notice the 3 ft person running behind them. It was really cute!
Well, we had an awesome time in San Diego! It was so nice visiting Nana's boat again, and I'm sure she's happy we took her back to get away from the cold (though of course she misses the grandkids badly). Now it's back to the pouring rain for us, but we really don't mind too much, we love our home! Things are falling into place here, and George is readjusting better than expected to a life without a Nana every morning. He's gotten so remarkable with speaking skills now, that he can even talk with Nana pretty well on the phone too!

Cute Facts of the Week:

While George was put in time out, he acted out and pouted as usual. This time though, Emilie was strapped onto me with a sling a saw the whole thing. I was shocked to hear he burst out laughing hysterically. You know some of those babies in youtube who just completely crack up and laugh till red? That was Emilie!!!

George is now speaking like crazy and understanding things better now. The language gears have kicked up a notch. It's awesome when he responds to me understanding what I'm asking of him. He himself is using more complex sentences.

Emilie is now following a ball and movement astoundingly well. George and daddy were playing ball in the great room last night and Emilie followed them and the spiky hot pink ball with such finesse!

Emilie sneezed snot in George's face yesterday. George laughed.

George now loves to play "Hospital". He will get in a tricycle crash, and mommy drags him with a "stretcher" (mat) to the Hospital (tent) where he gets shots with the cold magnets of his toy trains and some random object used as an X-Ray machine. Tigger is the mechanic and fixes his bike. :)
