Emilie and Nana Updates and a Wedding

New news for Emilie! For these past two weeks, Emilie has been getting herself up into a sitting position... all by herself! Daddy saw it for the first time a few days ago himself. Wow, how the time is flying by (please don't walk just yet!). Emilie has also mastered waving ("hello" in sign language) and is now saying "dada" fluently along with mama. She is also starting to make new sounds and syllables and we're excited to see what her next words and signs will be!
Nana is all finished with her pterygium eye surgery and is doing well. Yesterday mom and I went down the hill and they were able to take off the patch and give new instructions and special eye drops to help it heal. George (and Emilie) are having so much fun with Nana here and love it anytime she gets to stay!
Yesterday we were blessed to be able to attend (at least the end of it) our neighbor's wedding. He had put so much work (months worth) into being able to throw the grandest wedding in town! Being some kind of sound specialist, he rented his own souped up sound system/turn table, and did all the sound effects for the band he had play at his wedding! Tina, his newly wed wife, is the nicest woman, and we're so happy he was able to find such a gem for a wife. With billowing hair, a blue wedding dress and adorned in bracelets and jewelry she would be one I would call "hippy" and awesome like my sister.

George and Nana had a blast too, with dancing to music, and treating themselves to yummy cupcakes. It was an awesome day, for sure! :)
